With its superb breathability, lightweight feel, comfort, and multiple colorways, the DC Trase TX is one of the many iterations of one of the brand's original skate shoe silhouettes. Despite not being as sturdy as its suede counterpart, many wearers are pleased with its features that come at an affordable price.

Style of the DC Trase TX

From afar, the DC Trase TX is just another typical-looking skate shoe with its low profile construction, canvas upper, and lace-up closure. However, take a closer look, and you will discern some of the features that give it a distinctive look.

The Trase TX features a higher foxing tape around its vulcanized gum sole. On the toe cap part, the foxing tape is textured with DC’s signature pill pattern. It may not be as noticeable, but this feature also provides added durability.

DC Shoes was formed in 1994 by friends Damon Way and Ken Block with the aim of producing remarkable footwear that will cater to skateboarding and other action sports. In just a year, it already hit revenue of $7 million which is more than double its last year’s. But it was just the beginning.
