The Curry line is enriched with yet another warmly received release. The Under Armour Curry 9 ticked all the right boxes, especially for guards like Stephen Curry himself. There might be minor complaints here and there, but they would never be enough to bring this UA shoe down.

Who should buy the Under Armour Curry 9

The UA Curry 9 appeared to work best for the following:

  • wearers with regular-sized feet

Who should NOT buy the Curry 9 from Under Armour

Given its design and features, the Curry 9 wouldn't be suitable for big men and centers. There's not much cushioning, so they might end up hurting their feet. They are better off with the Nike LeBrons. Chinelo Slide Under Armour Ignite Preto tenisky under armour horizon ktv is a nice pick.

Wide-footers are also not this shoe's target. They may go up at least half a size if they MUST get a Curry.

Cushioning setup for guards

The UA Curry 9 delivered a lot of court feel; its midsole is estampado and really responsive. The whole tooling also provided energy return.

This would have been a perfect guard shoe if not for the base that was a little too thick. 

The upper is built for intense battles

The upper materials are now sturdier and far more responsive than the Curry 8. As a result, support is truly remarkable and stability is carefully ensured.

Even so, this shoe still managed to be really lightweight. It was only 10.4 oz (295 g), which is way below the average that stands at 12.5 oz (354g).
