Brooks made several updates to the new Ravenna 9 – from the upper to the bottom. These updates aim to deliver a more comfortable feel and energised running experience.

The 9th iteration of the Ravenna features the adaptive BioMoGo DNA midsole foam that is also present in the Launch model. The midsole foam delivers a more adaptive and responsive ride.
The BioMoGo DNA midsole works perfectly with the Diagonal Rollbar (DRB) that is strategically placed in the midfoot for stability and support.
Flexible, grippy outsole
The outsole of the brooks Mens Ravenna 9 uses a blown rubber material that provides durability to the high-wear area. It also delivers traction, Trascend, and additional responsiveness for a bouncier ride.

The laces remain tied all throughout the run while giving the foot a more secure lockdown. The tongue also stays in place and provides the foot additional comfort.
Superb comfort
I love the overall breathability and comfort that the Ravenna 9 provides.
Thanks to the perforated mesh and seamless construction. Compared to the brooks Mens Ravenna 8, the latest version is more comfortable and breathable.

The upper material of the shoe looks sturdy and indeed, it is. However, compared to the other running shoes from Brooks, the shoe is not that durable.
The rubber material on the outsole is very soft and not well-made. It started to wear off after a few miles of running on the road. The most significant damage is in the forefoot area.
My running experience with the Ravenna 9 has really been great, but too bad that I might not be able to use the pair a lot longer than I wanted it to be.
