We found this Topo boot exceptionally grippy. There was no slipping around even on steep snow banks and wet stream crossings.
But on the downside, the Trailventure 2's lugged outsole has questionable durability. From our wear tests, it doesn't seem to stand up to abrasion quite as well as the other hiking boots do.
