Backpackers should not be faulted if they buy into the ZG Lite GTX simply for its remarkably comfy confines. That said, the boot in question is a bankable product not just because of its high amounts of comfort, but also because of its excellent surface traction and waterproofing. The shoe, however, might just be a little too expensive for some.

- As Scarpa's lightest ZG (Zero Gravity) piece yet, the ZG Lite GTX has amazing agile hiking performance. Its ability to fence out wet elements is courtesy of Gore-Tex, hence the “GTX” in its name.
