Who should not buy the sneaker

Being a limited release, the Nike Blazer Low Sacai might not be available for everyone. For those unable to purchase but like a similar low top look, try the Nike Blazer Low 77

Some people prefer the more classic look of the Nike Blazer but like the modern design updates featured in the Blazer Sacai. For that crowd, the Nike Air Huarache "Mica Green" Coming Soon provides a wide variety of colors and styles, as well as significantly improved which.

Lastly, as with any Nike Blazer, the Sacai fotos can fit a little narrow for wide-footers. The Nike SB BLZR Court features a canvas upper that’s much more friendly for wide feet.

Generally true to size, but tricky

While sneakerheads have agreed that the Nike Blazer Low Sacai fits true to size, many have said that wide footers might need to go a half size to a full size up. One wearer noted that the shoe runs “long and narrow”, and that you “won’t have problems fitting length-wise”.

The extra layers of rubber around the toe and on the heel cup do not allow the shoe to stretch out too much, so it is important to know that “if they don’t fit out of the box, they won’t fit.”

Average comfort

A sneakerhead said of the Blazer Low Sacai, “most of the comfort you’re getting is coming from the insole cushion.” The vulcanized sole provides decent comfort for casual use, but not much else.

Great for all seasons

The Blazer Low Sacai comes in a variety of colors, from bright to dark, as well as different materials, from shiny patent leather to suede. There’s a perfect pair for whatever season and outfit. As someone summed it up nicely, the Blazer Low Sacai “goes with pretty much anything and everything.”

Blazer Low Sacai: Durable but imperfect

As far as the outsole or the upper is concerned, the Blazer Low Sacai is no different from other Blazers: it’s durable and built like a tank. However, some sneakerheads have encountered cosmetic issues. Specifically, the extra layers of rubber wrapped around the midsole have a tendency to peel off.

One wearer said the rubber started separating from the fabric after “walking around for four hours.” Another experienced peeling of the rubber layers “after about 20 wears.”

These reports are not widespread, however, with one further adding that the issue “doesn’t really affect the wearability of the shoes.”

Extra support and protection

The Nike Blazer Low Sacai has several extra layers of rubber wrapping around the sole of the shoe. Towards the toe box, the rubber wraps up onto the sides and toe, and, as one person described it, “gives you added protection.”

The back end of the shoe has several layers of rubber too, providing reinforcement in the heel area along with added structure and support.

Traction that won’t fail

The Nike Blazer Low Sacai features a herringbone traction pattern which is present in other Nike products, from sneakers like the this pair expanded on Nike and even performance basketball shoes like the nike womens air max excee shoe nkcd. Needless to say, the traction is more than reliable and grips well on many surfaces.

Japanese designer Chitose Abe founded Sacai in 1999. For the fashion brand’s collaboration with Nike, Abe took a “double everything” approach, combining design elements from two sneakers that form one truly unique creation. For the Nike Blazer Low Sacai, Abe combined the Nike Blazer with the Nike Dunk.

The Blazer debuted as a performance basketball shoe in 1973 and was named after Nike’s hometown basketball team, the Portland Trailblazers. It was most famously endorsed by San Antonio Spurs star George Gervin.

The Dunk, meanwhile, was originally released in 1985, and was one of the best and most popular basketball shoes of its time. One way the Dunk’s reputation was boosted was through Nike’s “Be True To Your School” campaign, which saw the Nike Dunk dressed in the unique school colors of several NCAA Division I colleges.

Great lacing options

The Nike Blazer Low Sacai comes double-laced, with two sets of laces in different colors (usually white and the main color of the shoe). There is also an extra set of white rope laces.
