In 1999, professional skateboarders Mike Carroll and Rick Howard founded the American brand named Lakai. Back in 1993, the thought of building the company was already there, but it was only after six years that Carroll and Howard took courage and finally launched Lakai.
Among Lakai’s innovative footwear is the low-top Cambridge shoe, which was released in the Fall of 2018. It was co-designed by Jovontae Turner, a classic female skateboarding pro. This skate shoe has a modern design yet maintains its traditional elements.
The Lakai Cambridge has a breathable upper made of mesh, suede, synthetic leather (or a combination of different materials), displaying a vintage look.
