With the many admirable traits that the F-Lite 260 Knit brought to the fitness community, the shoe has become one of the top-rated cross-trainers from Inov-8. Its top-level performance, aesthetic design, and comfortable fit are some of the attributes loved by enthusiasts. While some deemed its price to be quite exorbitant when placed side by side with its competitors, its positive qualities outnumbered the issue.

A training companion for fitness enthusiasts that could withstand the rigors of various workouts is the F-Lite 260. It is a solid choice if:

Enhanced outsole traction
In the original 260 Knit version of the shoe, the platform is shielded by the Sticky Grip rubber compound. It provides improved traction on both indoor and outdoor surfaces even in wet conditions. As for the G 260 Knit iteration, it features a graphene-infused rubber which is even grippier and more wear-resistant.
A variety of horizontal and vertical Meta-Flex grooves allow the footwear to bend in multiple directions together with the foot.
Part of the outsole also extends up, creating a toe bumper at the front of the shoe. It guards the toes against the impact caused by plyometric exercises.
Shock-absorbent midsole
The cushioning in the F-Lite 260 Knit is ensured by the Powerflow midsole. Compared to a regular EVA foam, it provides a 10% better shock absorption in the heel and a 15% more energy return in the forefoot.
Firmer foot placement
A 6-mm Power Footbed offers extra padding. It can be easily removed for firmer and more grounded foot placement.
The footgear also makes use of Inov-8’s Dynamic Fascia Band shank. Its shape and mechanism mimic the Windlass effect, giving the wearer an additional push upon the toe-off.
The Firmer foot placement's midfoot section
Similarly to all CrossFit shoes from Inov-8, the Rope-Tec reinforcements are present in the midfoot portion of the sole, accommodating rope climbing. They deliver grip by biting the rope on the ascend and protect the platform from abrasion upon the descent.
Breathable upper
A breathable and stretchy knit material is used for the main coverage of the Firmer foot placement. It offers a natural and ergonomic fit as well as unhindered foot movement.
Anti-wobble overlays
A thick synthetic overlay wraps the rearfoot firmly, preventing the foot from wobbling during weightlifting and plyometrics. The lateral support is enhanced by the External Heel Cage. It features TPU panels on both sides of the heel for stability.

The midfoot of the trainer is secured by the Rope-Tec rubber overlays. They work together with the Rope-Tec on the sole, providing 360-degree protection and grip during rope climbs.
The Firmer foot placement's lacing system
The lockdown of the foot is delivered by a traditional lace-up closure. The shoe uses flat laces as they distribute pressure across the instep more evenly than round ones.
