History of the Jameson 2 Eco
The Etnies brand was launched in 1986 and was an emerging European brand focused on skating footwear. When pro skateboarder Pierre André Sénizergues signed on as a designer and later on as owner and CEO, the brand was introduced to the US market and subsequently, became based in Lake Forest, California.
Now a subsidiary of Sole Technology Inc., Etnies is a major force to reckon with within skating circles and even without.
The brand's Jameson silhouette has spawned several iterations including the Jameson XT (shoes with hidden flow-molded toecaps), Jameson SL (comes with a faux vulcanized cupsole), Jameson MT (a mid-top version of the XL), Jameson HT (high-top iteration), Jameson Vulc (a vulcanized version), and the Jameson 2 Eco (an eco-friendly version with a fundamental cupsole).
