Good!

Not your typical-looking Not your typical-looking, the Etnies Dory flaunts a boat-shoe-inspired design that could easily level up anyone’s style game. Besides this versatile and sleek look is a spot-on comfort, lightness, and fit that further impress its wearers. Although some disliked how unnecessarily long its laces are, or how it lacks ventilation, the majority of purchasers were still in awe of Dory’s top-notch quality and performance.

One of the latest Etnies shoes to join the brands

One of today's leading skate shoe brands is Etnies. Founded in France in 1986 initially as "Ethnics," the brand also specializes in apparel and footwear for other extreme sports such as snowboarding, motocross, surfing, and BMX. Three years after its debut, Pierre-Andre Senizergues took over Etnies soon after he retired from playing the sport which made it the first-ever skate shoe brand company owned and managed by a professional skateboarder.

Etnies Dory details

Currently, the brand is based in Lake Forest, California, and is a subsidiary of Sole Technology, Inc. In 2011, the brand's Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree Program was launched. It is a reforestation program that commenced with an initiative from CEO and Owner Pierre-Andre Senizergues of planting a tree in the Costa Rican rainforest for every pair of the Etnies Jameson 2 Eco shoes sold. In just five years, with the help of program partner Trees for the Future, the program expanded across three different continents with over a million trees planted.

Etnies Dory sole

One of the latest Etnies shoes to join the brand’s Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree Program is the Etnies Dory low-top shoes. It is a skate shoe that took design inspiration from a classic boat shoe which features a canvas upper, leather-laced collar, lace-up closure, reinforcements on high-wear areas, and a cupsole construction. Several renditions of the Etnies Dory include the Etnies Dory SC and the Etnies Dory SMU.
