Durable protection against wear and abrasion
Just like the popular ASICS Gel Kayano 25, the Gel Noosa Tri 11 uses the AHAR or ASICS High Abrasion Rubber which is a high-quality carbon rubber material in the heel area that offers durable protection against wear and abrasion. It shields the shoe from scratches or the debilitating effects of use.
The DuraSponge outsole is a blown AHAR material that provides additional cushioning and some flexibility. It is essentially a unit that helps runners push forward more efficiently during the running cycle.
The WET GRIP design enables the outsole unit of the ASICS Gel Noosa Tri 11 to provide effective traction even on wet surfaces. The runner can run with confidence over dry and wet roads.

The Gel Cushioning System is made from a gel that’s derived from silicone. It offers shock absorption when landing the foot on the ground, thus reducing discomfort and enabling better steps ahead.
The Solyte foam is a high-quality, full-length mid-sole material that’s lightweight and responsive. It’s a durable layer that delivers reliable cushioning for a variety of activities.
The Dynamic DuoMax system reduces the rate of overpronation by leading the foot to a more balanced position. It essentially helps the wearer achieve a well-balanced transition from the heel to the toe during the gait cycle.
ASICS’ Propulsion Plate provides a boost on performance
A Propulsion Plate made from a hardened unit was added to the forefoot area. It releases stored energy during the activity and propels the runner forward for a more efficient and agreeable toe-off phase.
The Impact Guidance System and the Guidance Line give the foot a more balanced gait during running, essentially working with the rest of the stability system keeping the runner comfortable and balanced when running or when standing idly.

The Seamless Upper makes the runner comfortable while wearing it without socks. It gives next-to-foot comfort that’s responsive and irritation-free. Fewer material overlays ensure that this type of construction continues to maintain a comfortable environment for the runner.
Breathability and lightweight support are handled by the Engineered Mesh in the upper and the Perforated Sock Liner, found on top of the mid-sole unit. Air is continually introduced to the inner section of the shoe, keeping the foot cool and dry.

The use of printed overlays significantly reduces the weight of the upper unit. Though Material Overlays are still found near the collar area, most of the upper is now secured with overlays that act as if they’re part of the mesh upper.
Elastic Laces does away with traditional loop lacing and allows runners to wear the Gel Noosa Tri 11 and adjust the laces with just a few pulls. There’s no need to tie the laces. The elastic material stays fastened, thus keeping the inconveniences of having untied laces at bay.
