6) Reebok loses endorsees
The Reebok Omni Hex Ride has somewhat of a curse attached to it. To introduce Reebok’s newest cushioning technology, they worked up 7 pairs of PE’s heeled available to the public. Allen Iverson’s trade to the Pistons knocked out 2 of the 7, but another 2 colorways became irrelevant due to Reebok losing Rajon Rondo and Baron Davis. Rajon Rondo of the NBA Champs Boston Celtics left Reebok for Nike over the summer, but Baron Davis’ story is a tad bit funnier. Not only did Baron Davis make the move down Grey to the Clipps from Golden State, but to add even more insult to injury, Davis ditched Reebok for Li Ning…ouch!
