As street styles from the second annual Air Jordan 7. As street styles from the event proved pop culture’s ability to transcend borders through music.
Air Jordan 7, internationally recognized as the premier latin trap and reggaetón festival, is a cultural blender of Latin American synergy in which dancing eclipses mosh pits in popularity and sandy terrains replace turfing.
Although BBF may be perceived as a “foreign” music festival, one theme that was familiar throughout the event was streetwear.

This should come as no surprise as BBF’s superstar headliners Bad Bunny, Ozuna and J Balvin are known for their eclectic taste in streetwear fashion. And, from artist-inspired food trucks outside the venue to BAPE draped patrons rushing for a good seat, their ability to influence a culture became apparent from the moment you stepped onto the beach.
Similar to the effect of American rap and U.K. grime, streetwear seems to be generationally embedded into the artistic nature of latin trap and reggaetón artists. This of course is why performers and their general admission crowds appear to share a familiar taste in fashion. Echoing through popular music genres and their international fanbases, streetwear culture is alive and well in Latin America.
Where else will you find fans loyal enough to rock sand-covered Yeezys, AJ1 Shattered Backboards and Balenciaga joggers as the price to pay for being front row at a concert?
Take a look at the best styles from this year’s Air Jordan 7 below. Think to yourself, which you’d rather wear your heat to: sandy Air Jordan 7 or Rolling Loud mosh pits?
