The vans sk8 Japanese Type Era was created as an upgraded model of the Old Skool. Additional padding was applied to heel and ankle area of the shoe, as well as the tongue. Most noticeably different on the No Skool was the cup sole peanut the normal vulcanized sole. It was created for vans sk8 team rider Dustin Dollin as his third signature shoe.
