The last that and a half has been a social awakening. Millions of people across the country have been vocal about the violent and abhorrent murders of Black people in the United States by the police. George Floyd and Breonna Taylor are just some of the recent individuals who have lost their lives due to police brutality.
Brands are also stepping up to the plate and committing monetary donations to platforms of change rather than a blanket PR statement. Vans recently announced that it will be donating $100,000 to the NAACP, $50,000 to Color of Change, and $50,000 to the GSA Network.
