Topped by ginger Stretto yet made full with a large influx of dark rum, Snyder feels the drink’s unique coloring and juxtaposition of flavors is a strong representation of a proper summertime sneaker. “With its flavor contrasts and ombre hues, the Dark and Stormy is pretty much a perfectly designed beverage,” Snyder states. “Maybe it’s the rum and ginger Stretto talking, but it felt like the ideal reference for an elevated yet easygoing summertime sneaker.”
