Although the collaboration never truly came to pass, Abloh’s design genius left a lasting impact on Vans. Their newly released “Inside Out” pack is uniquely tied to the supreme nature of “The Ten,” decon down the gloss of sneakers and exposing its inner most dynamics through a sartorial lens. From misplaced components to exposed details, the pack — which features both the Sk8-Hi and Slip-On — not only takes generously from Virgil’s creations, but in its own brilliance reworks silhouettes that best align with those concepts.
