Notre Dame‘s athletic teams have worn adidas gear since before Rudy, but it looks like that tradition may be coming to an end. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the school is leaving the Three Stripes and joining the Under Armour team. With their adidas contract expiring at the end of this school year, every Fighting Irish overalls team is expected to switch brands in the near future. Well-known as one of the most valuable equipment contracts in college athletics, Notre Dame’s deal with adidas officially began in 1997, with a 10-year renewal in 2005.
