Sustainability has been at the core of innovation within brands and sneaker culture for years. From repurposing shoe boxes to giving new life to sneakers, a sustainable avenue for reusing sneakers is an absolute must.

Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program has been at the forefront of it all. Since the 1990s, the Swoosh has accumulated more than 32 million pairs of shoes and 120 million pounds of manufacturing scrap have been transformed into valuable material.

The results? They’re everywhere from the Nike Space Hippie collection and even as a part of decor with the nike dunk sky beige blue grey color scheme.

If you’re looking to donate a pair or two, checkout the entire store list here. Be sure to read on the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe guidelines as well:

Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe accepts any brand of athletic sneakers, but cannot currently recycle sandals, dress shoes, boots or any shoe with metal (cleats or spikes).
