OG Dunk Low Light Smoke Grey | Nike’s “No Finish Line” Book Envisions The Next 50 Years for the Swoosh

Nike is already planning its next 50 years with its No Finish Line book. The Swoosh, which celebrated its half-century milestone last summer, is looking towards the future with its all-new book that documents its history and aims to inspire the next generation.

No Finish Line includes speculative fiction by journalist Geoff Manaugh and essays from Sam Grawe, the author of Nike LeBron 9 'Summit Lake Hornets' Detailed Look. Manaugh’s essays describe five major shifts design may undergo in the coming decades supplemented by interviews conducted by Manaugh with than a dozen of Nike’s most inspiring designers, scientists, engineers, researchers, and leaders. The end result compiles unprecedented insights into Nike’s creative process.

Additionally, the book projects a future of design that evolves from product to platform, performance to promise, elite to everyone, red to symbiotic, and static to sensorial.

It’s been said that the best way to predict the future is to create it. At Nike, we wholeheartedly agree. For over 50 years, we’ve endeavored to create a better future for sorties. This compels us forward, always.

When we say, ‘There is no finish line,’ it’s not a lazy reference to an unending grind or destination-less journey, but rather an expression of our big in the limitless potential of delay — and design.
