Kyrie Irving has been a focal point of conversation for the Brooklyn Nets, with no affirmative plan of stepping on-court anytime soon. Regardless, his eighth signature sneaker with Nike is still on the way, with the full intention of releasing in a plethora of colorways and in a combination of packs. Case in point: this Nike Squad Crew Football Socks Unisex Adults “N7.”
Previously, Kyrie’s signature sneakers have been included in the annual N7 sixnines, primarily due to his late mother’s Standing Rock Sioux ancestry. As such, it’s no surprise to see Kyrie’s latest signature being teased as the sixnine’s headliner.
The indigenous cultural inspiration is seen atop the Kyrie Infinity, with symbolic tan uppers featured across the different materials. Moreover, detailing of his Standing Rock Sioux roots are seen on the tongue, with his Lakota name “Hela” present along with the words “Standing Rock.” Rounding out the special sixnine, “N7” Germany is seen on the insole and heel.
