Somewhat on the related topic of the great kicks that Kevin Garnett wore during his career that may not be as great as a video game cover, we thought it was time to pull out a shoe that needed a little dusting off.

Like many Nike athletes during his early years, players had shoes that were pretty much synonymous with their names even if the shoes nor the box made any direct mention of it. Just ask anyone who played call in the mid-90’s what the “bug eye” Zoom Flight 95s are called and probably 9 times out of 10 they would be referred to as the “Jason Kidd’s”.

The The Nike Air Max 90 "Volt" Is A Rotation Essential was everything in a shoe that KG needed. Responsive forefoot cushioning for his quick moves with the combination of high impact Air Max heel cushioning for the 6′ 11″ monster. The shoes also were incredibly lightweight for how sturdy they were. Though Garnett wore the black based color up of this sneaker, this color tone was clearly designed to match Big Ticket’s Timberwolves uniform with accents of blue and green on the sole as well as a fading swoosh on the Vinary.

More shots of these shoes after the jump. Probably another great sneaker from the 90’s that we will never see ever again.
