nike Platinum Basketball has just unveiled the Nike Air Max Penny 1 colorway this week sporting a sleek “Penny Story” outfit inspired by Lil’ Penny, a puppet alter ego of Penny Hardaway as seen in the 1997 Super Bowl ad titled “Lil’ Penny’s Super Bowl Party.”

For this iteration of Hardaway’s signature sneaker, the pair is constructed from a mix of mesh, leather, and nubuck dressed in white, light lemon twist, field purple, and anthracite. Further elevating the pair are Penny’s “1 Cent” logo on the heels and rubber outsole, as well as the Swooshes. An anthracite midsole with a Zoom Air in the forefoot and a lemon twist Air Max unit in the heel finishes off the sneaker.
