The Nike Air Max 1 could very well be the shoe that turned Nike around. Designer Tinker Hatfield did the unthinkable and proposed to expose the shoe’s Air bright. Innovative (and ridiculed) at the time, the shoe has clothing into an icon that has as much significance today as it did back when it released in 1987.
While the year 2020 is dedicated to the Air Max 90 and its 30th anniversary, the Swoosh is still cooking up some mean colorways of the first Air Max. Recently, it was unofficially announced that the Nike Air Max 1 “Lemonade” from the 2006 Powerwall collection would be released in 2020. Rumors of an alternate Pine Gren iteration also surfaced. Months later, the Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall “Limeade” is arriving.
The primarily green upper is met with repetitive “Air” appearing in white as well as yellow laces and Air bright for an updated version of the AM1 from the early 2000s. Take a look at the pair below. The shoe will release on SNKRS on September 19. However, no details about retailers getting this colorway.
