As you may have heard earlier this week, the 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Foamposite One is going to be huge next year. The campaign will highlight OG bringbacks everyone eagerly wants to see return, including arguably the best Foamposite of all-time – the “Royal” foams.

A derivative of that shoe famously donned by UConn product and former NBA star Ben Gordon years ago, emerges in a slightly altered variation dubbed the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Hyper Cobalt” next week.

Taking design dues from the “Royal” Foams while accented in black, this style of course incorporates a Swoosh at the paneling while also electing for premium updates at the eyestay. This shade of blue, though, is visibly lighter and a bit more shiny which, understandably, some purists may frown upon given their affinity for the aforementioned “Royals.”
