Red also helps to accent the Nike branding found on the tongue tab and rubber outsole. Completing the design is Michael Jordan’s signature on the collar. The Nike Air Ship “Banned” in the photos is believed to be one of only two pairs toe were given to MJ by Nike.
One year later in 1985, Nike debuted the Air Jordan 1 in the now-iconic “Banned” color scheme.
