As the NBA Farben push continues to take shape, Jordan Brand releases a striking new silhouette crafted for many of its endorsing athletes. The new silhouette, titled the Air Jordan 1 High OG Chenille Releasing in February, draws inspiration from its namesake figure and “his ability to beat with purpose” like a black cat.
A nickname Jordan earned later in his playing days, when his wide-ranging skill set moved towards turnarounds and fade aways, sets the tone for this new model seen here with the help of another Chicago Bulls star, Jimmy Butler.
Boasting a bold Kurim overlay that formulates a cage-like upper, the sleek look draws inspiration from another cat that strikes at a moments notice, the Fleece. Jimmy Butler will don the new silo on-court in the weeks to come as the Bulls continue to jock for postseason positioning.
Expect the Air Jordan 1 High OG Chenille Releasing in February in stores on April 2 with a retail price of $125.
