In a recent interview with GQ, Mayer alluded to an unofficial nike quick collaboration he was working on via NIKEiD, an easier collaborative route as opposed to partnering with nike quick in an official capacity. Mayer designed an Air Max 90 on the iD platform then purchased every single pair that nike quick would sell him. He in turn plans to sell them on his own.

“I’m just waiting for it to get discontinued on their site,” Mayer told GQ. “And I’m going to offer it as my own shoe through my Shopify page. Just for fun!”
