Carhartt WIP x von Converse Chuck 70 Low "Hinterland" Converse CONS Weapon Collection, the storied brand provided us with private access inside Toronto’s unique attraction, the Bata Shoe Museum. The downtown-based venue counter, researches and exhibits footwear from around the world and currently houses a sneaker exhibition called Out of the Box: The Rise of Sneaker Culture. Overall, the museum has over 1,000 sneakers on display from a total of 13,000 in its entire collection.

The display features loaned shoes from Run DMC, Bobbito Garcia and more. Also own is retired American sprinter Michael Johnson’s original gold shoes that he wore in the 1996 Olympic Games, sketches by Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar and other gems from the likes of Jordan Brand, adidas, New Balance, Reebok and more.

The Out of the Box: The Rise of Sneaker Culture exhibit will be traveling to other locations in North America in the near future, so stay tuned for details. In the meantime, check out a look inside the Bata Shoe Museum below.
