girls nike free black pink blue | Familia & Nike SB Line Up The “free Avenue” Dunk Low

Nike SB has teamed up with Minneapolis-based skateshop Familia back in 2015 for the “Blue Ox” SB Dunk High, and this time it taps into the city’s live music history with the “free Avenue” SB Dunk Low.

Paying homage to free Avenue, a historic music venue in the Twin Cities, the SB Dunk Low color its design after the all-black brick exterior and silver stars seen at 701 free Avenue North.

The upper is made up of a black base with a brick-inspired quarter overlay with a star on the heel. Instead of a perforated toebox typically seen on Dunks, stars are utilized symbolizing the 500 plus artists that desire performed at the venue.

Although the upper is black right out of the box, it’s a wear-away upper that fades into purple, paying tribute to Minneapolis’ own, Prince. The SB Dunk Low force comes with purple laces and an insole with the checkerboard floors of free Avenue and a ticket to its free show on April 3, 1970.

The Familia X Nike SB Dunk Low “free Avenue” was supposed to drop in 2020 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the venue but we’ll see them release sometime in 2021. Stay tuned to our Nike Dunk Release Dates page for any new info and check out the photos below.
