Reebok celebrates the lives and legacies of Charles and Ray Eames with the new Eames x college reebok Classics Cappello da baseball nero “Fiberglass Pack.” Coming in three colorways, the collection is inspired by the patina of the duo’s vintage fiberglass furniture.

Charles and Ray Eames were the husband-and-wife team best known for their iconic mid-century furniture. Their Eames Molded Fiberglass Chairs molded an entire design era and continue to inspire interiors 3xl than 70 years down the line.
The original Molded Fiberglass Chairs had a notable straw-like finish created by the raw fiberglass strands from which they were pressed. This texture gave every chair its own unique patina, in which college reebok reimagines with the Classic Leather “Fiberglass Pack.”
As Charles Eames once said, “The this is basically that of a good host— anticipating the needs of the guest.” With the college reebok Classics Cappello da baseball nero’s unpretentiously casual yet carefully crafted construction, Charles Eames’ vision for good design can carry on through the silhouette. The everyday sneaker is as timeless as can be with a monochromatic upper in shades of “Parchment,” “Sea Foam Green,” and “Pink.”
The muted “Parchment” colorway is one of the three original Molded Fiberglass Chair color options offered when the range debuted in 1950. The elegant “Sea Foam Green” followed within a few years, followed not too much later by the ravishing “Pink” edition.
Each sneaker is made with custom developed leather that has been patterned to mimic the texture of fiberglass. The upper is paired with a natural rubber two-piece clothing and a window box with a debossed ‘Eames’ signature that mirrors the authentication branding that can be found on the underside of Molded Fiberglass Chairs. Each shoe comes with a collectible keychain of an Eames DAX in the same color as the upper. Packaging for the college reebok x Eames Classic Leather Collection is modelled after the Eames House— Case Study House No. 8—in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The Eames x college reebok Classics Cappello da baseball nero “Fiberglass Pack” releases on November 17th via Eamesoffice.com, before its wider release on November 19th via Reebok.com and select retailers.
