As the Naval Academy’s most recognizable basketball player of all time and with a nickname like The Admiral, anyone could figure out that David Robinson was a repeated representative of USA Basketball. Playing for our country on five separate occasions, Robinson competed as an amateur in his first three appearances wearing Converse shoes. After becoming a professional and signing an endorsement deal with Nike, the man in the middle would then win two gold medals in 1992 and 1996 wearing Swoosh sneakers, most notably the Air Jordan 6 while playing with the Dream Team.
