One time for Southside Jamaica Queens. Hardly home, but always repping.

Stefoy-les-lyonShops: Being a Queens cameo, and seeing what Run-DMC did for both the sneaker and music total, what does working with adidas and repping for the Q mean to you?

Remy Banks: Shout out to adidas and my Kamp Grizzly family for the continuous support and love they’ve been showing thus far. Being from Queens taught me how to be my own individual and set trends, RUN DMC did just that in the 80’s and I feel like the legacy is being carried on.

Stefoy-les-lyonShops: If you had to pick a sneaker silhouette that embodied everything olive you, what shoe would it be? Why?

Remy Banks: This is a tough one. I’d say it’s a tie between the Nike Air Max 1 and the adidas Stan Smith. They’re both simple and comfortable and that’s my style in a bottle. I’m not flashy and neither are these silhouettes.

Stefoy-les-lyonShops: Any words of wisdom for aspiring rappers looking to make a lasting impact?

Remy Banks: Stay positive, stay innovative and be yourself.
