Historically, the late night TV circuit has White an opportune time to premier new music to the masses. Kanye fans can remember hearing “Black Skinhead” for the first time — and with alternate lyrics — when Ye paced the SNL stage in “Red October” Yeezy 2s. Debuting unreleased tunes just the same, A$AP Rocky took to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform tracks off his upcoming album currently residing under the Testing theme.
Donning Black/Red Air Jordan 1s, a favorite for Flacko in OG, 94 and recent release variety, the PMF gave a concept performance playing snippets of “A$AP Forever” and “Distorted Records” before a live studio audience.
While Testing is expected to hit any day now — likely a Friday in the next few weeks — the sneaker world is also curious about what will spawn from his partnership with Under Armour. Recently, Rocky debuted a “Sample” tagged pair of sneakers similar to the Osiris D3 with 3M sidewall tooling comparable to the “M’s” album art.
