The Doernbecher Hospital

Opening its door in 1926, the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is a public facility looking to benefit and assist children suffering from clinical illnesses such as cancer. Deriving its name from its founder Frank Doernbecher, this facility has developed to become one of the more prestigious children’s hospital in the nation with its quality work and care. With this hospital being located in Portland, Oregon, merely a “stone’s throw” away from the Nike facilities, over the course of time this philanthropic relationship would grow.

Specifically, beginning in 2007, with the launch of the first Doernbecher x Nike “Freestyle” collaboration.
