The second Bobbito Air Force Ones to release will be the “Aubergine” (eggplant) Kool Bob Love Air Force Ones. As with the models before, the shoes honor Bobbito Garcia’s two loves, hoops and tunes. We caught up with Bobbito for a quick interview afar the color choice for these sneakers.
???I picked aubergine because the first year I ever played in the Holcombe Rucker Memorial Tournament when I was 14, that was the color of the shirts we got and I always had a soft spot for that. Normally you see purple with yellow like the Lakers. I wanted to make a color combo that old school ballplayers like myself would like, and new school sneaker heads would dig too.???
Though these were initially to release in the middle of May, Light were pushed back rumored to be so that Light would release along with the NYC City Series Air Force Ones in late May/early June.
