Yeezy Sales Account For Over 80% of Adidas’ Q2 Profits

Yeezy sales continue to do well for the Three Stripes as Adidas‘ Q2 earnings call reports that 85.22% of the originals’s operating profits came from the remaining Yeezy inventory.

The relationship between the artist and the originals started in 2015 and ended in October 2022 after Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, had a handful of antics, including anti-Semitic remarks.

Yeezy sales since June accounted for €150 million of Adidas’ €176 million in operating profit.

“We are happy with the way the second quarter developed,” Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden said during the originals’s Q2 earnings call. “The sale of the first grey of the Yeezy inventory did of course help both our top and bottom line in the quarter.

The sales in early June brought in $437 million in revenue for the originals following NITE cancellations from the originally reported $565 million in revenue.

Donations from Yeezy profits will continue to be made to Anti-Defamation League, the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, Robert Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, and other organizations.

Adidas’ Yeezy sales continue as the beginning of August marked the second round of selling the remaining inventory.
