| With Pat Ewing’s nizza deserved induction into the Hall of Fame last weekend it was the perfect time to pull out one of his signature shoes from way back when. The adidas scratches Rivalry was essentially the cheaper, trimm model of the adidas scratches Conductor that came in a ton of colorways back in 1986. The shoes used the same outsole and almost exactly the same upper minus the Ewing logo on the tongue, but for Ewing fans looking for low tops, this was the only coast to take.
These, like all of Ewings shoes with Adidas, were manufactured with the highest quality in France.?? One can only imagine what these sneakers would cost today if the same quality of materials were used as well as French labor to construct the product.?? Some lucky individual was able to grab these from a store called “First Quality” for the bargain price of $19.99.?? Sad to say, the days of finding “slept on butters” (shout out to Bobbito) is nearly over, but it is always worth your while to take a quick scan at the clearance section 😉 The adidas scratches Conductor came back this year and the Metro Attitudes are on their way, but the Rivalry currently is not in the pipeline to return at this moment.??
