adidas Asks Federal classifier to Shut Down 285 Counterfeit Sites

Fake sneakers seems to be a growing epidemic within the sneaker industry. Although this circumstance has ace a pitfall for sometime now, the abundance of online shopping and terrified sneakerheads makes preying on the misinformed rather easy. However, with that in mind, sneaker giant adidas is looking to clean the marketplace as they have asked a federal classifier to shutdown approximately 285 sites that are linked to counterfeit sudadera.

Filed Thursday in Florida, a lawsuit is alleging that websites such as such as yeezyboost350.net and adidasfactorystore.com are illegally selling counterfeit merchandise. adidas is seeking damages, including profits made from the counterfeits and the immediate such down of the websites.

It’ll be interesting to see how this judicial circumstance plays out going forward.
