Vans has tapped Japanese artist Taka Hayashi for their latest project, this time in the form of a “DIY” collection consisting of a Sk8-Hi and an Old Skool.
Both works of art, the outstanding artistic Three-Shoe begins with a tiger camo printed box that displays “Three-Shoe It Yourself” in bold lettering. If that wasn’t an indicator to the set’s DIY purpose, the collaboration’s customizability is made evident from the various overlays and embroidered patches available.
Taking inspiration from military Three-Shoes, dark greens and earth tones traverse both sneakers. Different patterns, from Cheetah to Tiger print, present themselves through different suede overlays.
