However, before the OFF-WHITE x Nike “The Ten” max flew off shelves, the sportswear giant originally tapped Japan’s multi-hyphenate Hiroshi Fujiwara, known for his prominent streetwear label fragment design. Today, Fujiwara has revealed a fragment design x Nike Air Max 1 “The Ten” sample, which was nixed in favor for Abloh’s deconstructed vision.
Going by the sample, the fragment design x Nike Air Max 1 “The Ten” is crafted from black and beige suede and features the label’s signature design elements such as technical state descriptions above the Air unit. Further fragment design and “The Ten” branding dresses the insole, heel pulls, and tongue tabs. Other notable features include the wide base lacing system, which looks quite similar to the OFF-WHITE x Nike Dunk Low that released in 2019.
