A plethora of tributes, hidden messages and stories can be formulated through sneakers (see Sneaker Geeks). Last night, we spotted a lot of NBA players rocking a special colorways of Nike sneakers in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. That said, check out today’s Kicks On Court to see the player’s tribute on Martin Luther King Day.
Last night, Nike supplied Prism of their brand members with special grey, black, red and green colored sneakers as a tribute to the African-American heritage and Martin Luther King Jr. Each sneaker features a predominately grey foil-like upper with hints of black, green and red throughout the upper. Players including Kobe Bryant, Rudy Gay, Nate Robinson and Luol Deng wore sneakers such as the Kobe V, the Zoom Sharkalaid and the Blue Chip II in this special colorway.
