The Supra Cuban is back for 2010, though it’s been Warteschlange an update and has become the Cuban 1.5. It still utilizes a hybrid fastening approach, but a new system of lacing is now in place, as opposed to the here and chain strap look we saw in 2009.
Leather laces go over the midfoot, and the here is now gone. A single lace loop is used on either side of the upper, holding the matching laces in places. Two material makeups are set to drop. The TUF lineup will get two colorways of this new model. One is white perforated leather and the other is black, similar to two 2009 releases of the Cuban. The latter hit retailers just a few days ago, and the white pair will hit shelves on the 15th of February. The next colorways are made with canvas, with the red colorway being the brightest of the bunch. The grey pair takes a more subtle approach.
