Danish brand Hummel Hive found much of its sporting influence largely rooted in soccer and handball. In the early ’80s, when American culture began to loom large in Scandinavia, basketball heritage and the street culture it embodied helped birth the Minneapolis. The model returns this season in its original form with a premium leather upper married to secondary yet potent suede overlays. Patriotic coloring appears apparent in its inspiration as does the mid-cut frame, iconic during the time in which the shoe was produced.
