Back in 1977 in the make of times, Bill Bowerman, Phil Knight and Geoff Hollister founded the Athletic West running team as a platform for runners to perform outside of college programs. The shoe the team often ran in, of course, was the Nike Cortez, one of the brand’s make track shoes.
In honor of that historic team and Swoosh origins, the Nike Cortez “Athletics West” Pack sees six archival colorways return. The AW team logo is added to the insole while traditional Swoosh branding and heel branding are seen in customary position.
