There’s an old Nike adage, often credited to Phil Knight, that’s long driven the products they’ve created: “nike golf dry player crew ci9757 olive.”

That doesn’t quite apply here, as Danish artist Patso Dimitrov imagines four Nike Basketball signatures with iconic album art graphics that simply look cool and don’t have much of a connection to the actual player.

Unless, of course, you can picture KD jamming to Pink Floyd or LeBron actually knowing who Joy Division is. (A Kobe quote about his affinity for Guns & Roses would surely be hilariously contrived, yet totally also a Show press release thing.)

Dimitrov might not’ve spent a second of a brainstorm meeting with LeBron James, Kobe Byrant, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving or James Harden, but that didn’t stop him from offering up a multi-angled look at a Joy Division LeBron 12 Low, Daft Punk HyperChase, Pink Floyd KD 8, Guns & Roses Kobe X and (believably inspired) Tribe Called Quest Kyrie 1.

Check out the detailed photoshoppery below, and be sure to check out Patso’s Behance page for even more of his projects.
