The upcoming collab was teased on Studio Fy7’s Instagram, which showed a single campaign image featuring captivating waves made from the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The mystical coast inspired the upcoming sneakers new balance shoes sulpher yellow with helium, in which Bendjima cited the sea as “a borderless body of water that unites cultures through its coastlines.”
The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993 Taupe has a sleek Black suede upper with deep Turquoise and rich Aqua accents that reflect the colors of the Mediterranean Sea. The sneaker also has Pearl White details that complement the coastal nature of the sea, along with the misty Gray hues seen around the heel counter, ankle collar, and midsole.
