New Balance and Maxey shared the news with a joint Instagram post, leaving little detail as to what to expect from the upcoming partnership. Maxey will joining New Balance’s growing roster of basketball athletes that includes Kawhi Leonard, Jaylen Brown, Jamal Murray, Dejounte Murray, and Zach LaVine. So far Leonard is the only New Balance basketball athlete to have his own signature sneaker.
Throughout the season Maxey has been spotted wearing New Balances on-and-off the court, most notably the New Balance 550 and the New Balance 2002R. New Balance Unplugged Pack Greige New Balance TWO WXY v3 on court, which appeared to be PE with his number “0” stitched on the tongue.
