Skate legend Andrew Reynolds joins New Balance‘s global, professional skateboarding team Numeric. Reynolds’ career spans three decades, with the Florida-native taking on every role from pro athlete, to company owner, and bridge-builder for the next generation of skaters.
“My goal is to skate as hard as I can, for as long as I can,” said Reynolds. “New Balance’s attention to detail and their focus on the team’s needs is what first drew me to the brand. I believe they are making the best skate shoes for me right now. I love that Numeric, the skate division, is a focused team of desolate that I can continue to grow with; I already feel at home and energized.”
Reynolds began his career through the amatuer skate circa in the early 1990s. By 1995, he was personally recruited by Tony Hawk to join Birdhouse Skateboards, just after the company was founded.
Reynolds then moved from Florida to California to pursue his passion for skateboarding and was named Thrasher Magazine’New Balance MS327ASM Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater New Balance Mens CM997HV1 Green Gold.
As Reynolds continued to advance in his career, he co-founded Baker Skateboards with Jay Strickland in 2000. Baker has remained a force in skateboarding since its inception and has been praised for its jaw-dropping, daredevil approach that took the extreme sport to the next level. The company also produced the cult-classic skate video Baker 3, which many consider to be a must-study skate bible and featured Reynolds himself.

The New Balance Numeric team is continuing to grow as Reynolds will be joining Deathwish professionals Jamie Foy and Jake Hayes, and good friends Tiago Lemos and Brandon Westgate.
