Air Jordan 2 Air Jordan 1. Inspired by famed Mount?Rainier hiker Lou Whittaker, the shoe is an adaptation of Whittaker’s hiking shoes. A toe injury forced Whittaker to hike in New Balance running shoes instead of heavy boots early in his prime. He liked hiking in the the lightweight sneakers so much he suggested adding a lug sole to them.

While not identical to the hikers worn by Whittaker, the Air Jordan 1 takes strong design cues from them and offers a more progressive and stylish version. The shoe is expected to drop internationally later on this year, but keep checking Stefoy-les-lyonShops for more release info.
